#HonorThemWithAction Campaign Reaches Over 143 Million People

ORLANDO, FL - Equality Florida’s Honor Them With Action campaign has had nearly-record reach this week, inspiring people across the world to honor the victims of the Pulse Nightclub massacre. #HonorThemWithAction was seen by over 143 million people worldwide and was mentioned in over 35,000 social media posts. Those voices lifting up #HonorThemWithAction included presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, March for Our Lives, pop superstar Jessie J, and numerous national organizations.

“We have always said that the best way to honor the victims of Pulse is to honor them with action,” said Brandon Wolf, Pulse Nightclub massacre survivor and Equality Florida Media Relations Manager. “Pulse was the deadliest attack on the LGBTQ community in our nation’s history and overwhelmingly impacted people of color. As a global community, we are obligated to ensure that the victims’ lasting legacy is one of real change and an end to bigotry and hate. The reach of #HonorThemWithAction this week is a show of force and a loud declaration that love wins.”

Service events being hosted on HonorThemWithAction.org continue through June 16. As it has been for three years, #HonorThemWithAction is a rallying cry for change. Equality Florida encourages people across the world to use #HonorThemWithAction to show solidarity with the LGBTQ community and demand that the lasting legacy of Pulse is an unrelenting drive toward full equality.
