Equality Florida Hires Largest Statewide LGBTQ Election Team in US

Equality Florida, the state’s largest LGBTQ advocacy organization, grows in strength and in staff. Today, Equality Florida announced the largest elections team in its 23-year history, bringing the staff total to 16. The additions make Equality Florida the largest state LGBTQ electoral program in the country.

“We live in the most important political real estate in the country. Pro-equality voters will make the difference on Election Day. We are thrilled to bring together some of the most talented minds in Florida’s LGBTQ movement,” said Wes Davis, Equality Florida Field Director. “We are mobilizing over 560,000 pro-equality voters this election cycle. Our Team reflects the state's diversity and prioritizes the issues LGBTQ Floridians care about.”

Equality Florida is in the midst of a massive pro-equality voter turnout program across the Sunshine State. Upon launching its largest election program in the organization’s history in June 2020, Equality Florida has contacted over 717,000 pro-equality voters in Florida, filled over 700 volunteer shifts, and held over 30 virtual grassroots events.
